First time out as a Special Chunk takes Best Of Breed on sunday over a Top 20 contender on May 1st in Grove Oklahoma!
Memorial Day weekend in Shawnee Oklahoma was tons of fun!! Our baby girl Hannah "Olympia Canberra V Promise" (Ch Promise's Amish Red V Olympia X Ch Sunburg's Time Spun Treasure) took a 4 pt major from the 6-9 class! Also Chunky "Ch Sunbrug's Flying Chevron" (Ch Richwyn's Hot Rod X Ch Sunburg's Fantasy Flyer) took BOS over multiple specials including Top 20 contenders. Hannah also took reserve to the major on monday.
June 11 & 12 Chunky takes Best Of Breed both days in Texarkana AR and Hannah takes Winners Bitch for point #6 and reserve on sunday.
June 25th and 26th in Little Rock Arkansas Hannah took Best Puppy and a Puppy Working Group 1. Chunky took Best of Breed both days and two Group 4's. Walker (Sunburg's River Walk V Promise) wins his first Best of Breed at the fun match on friday night at the ripe old age of 14 weeks!!
Another NEW CHAMPION!!! Diva *Ch Sunburg's Fly'n Diva Of Lamar finished her championship with a 3 pt major on July 2nd. Diva was bred by and myself and owner Barbara DeLamar. She is sired by Ch Richwyn's Hot Rod and out of our Ch Sunburg's Fantasy Flyer.
In Sedalia MO July 9th & 10th Hannah takes Winners Bitch both days for 2 more points. On sunday Chunk takes Best Of Breed and a Group 4!
A NEW CHAMPION kid for our Couper!! Althea Gibson Dob Mann finished her championship in Houston taking 3 majors and a Best In Show Specialty from the 12-18 class!! Althea is sired by Couper and out of Ch Martha Washington Dob Mann. She is bred and owned by Edd & Irene Bivin and Teresa Nail. Congrats to all!!!
Topeka Kansas August 18 - 21 we had 6 shows in 4 days including two Doberman Specialties. Hannah came home a new Champion winning 3 majors in two days giving her 4 majors to finish her Championship at only 11 months of age. Hannah finished under long time breeder judge Faye Strauss of Sherluck Dobermans. Also under Mrs. Strauss, Ch Sunburg's Flying Chevron "Chunk" took Best Of Breed. Some of the top handlers and dogs in the country were there which made the wins all the more exciting.

September 16th our Holli puppies turned 6 months and began their show career's that weekend. Our boy Walker "Sunburg's Riverwalk V Promise" took his first point in Sullivan MO under breeder judge Judy Doniere while his sister took her 1st point on the same day. Also that day AND the day before their mom Holli came out of retirement for a little practice before the Nationals and takes Best Of Breed both days over a Top 20 contender.
The weekend of September 24th our home shows in Fort Worth Texas were good for our new babies. Walker too winners dog for 2 points (just one dog shy of a major) on sunday under Judy Doniere. While sister River took reserve on friday at the specialty, WB on saturday under breeder judge Bob Vandiver and WB, BOW and BOS over specials for 2 points on sunday. What a great start for these Holli babies!!
We had a great trip to the Doberman National Specialty and Houston Host club in Montgomery Texas October 8-15. Hannah was the star taking Best Junior in Sweeps under breeder/handler Jeff Brucker at the Houston show. She also made it to the final cut in Best of Breed. Then at the National she took Best 12-15 in Futurity and again made a cut in Best Of Breed. Hannah was proud to follow her dad Alex and brother Beau and thus helping Alex win the Stud Dog Class at the Host club. Our Holli puppies also made themselves seen making cuts and placing in both futurity and regular classes. The black girl, Levee won her class at the host club and was pulled for Winners Bitch at only 6 months of age!! Chunk made a cut in Best of Breed at the Houston show. Walker and River also did quite well both placing and making cuts along the way.
While we were in Texas, another puppy from our Holli litter went to his first show with handler Erin Brandon. Erik, Promise's Red River Magic, took his first point at his first show and they weren't even planning to show this gorgeous boy!! The next week he took Best of Breed and a puppy Group 1!!
Very exciting news in toda from Erin Brandon, Nile, Kate and ERIK Fowler!!! Erik took a 5 pt major today under judge Arley Hussin at only 7 months of age!! He also took Best Of Opposite over a special! And this boy was bought as a pet/companion!!! Glad they tried it and got hooked as it was very painful to let this special red boy go to a non show home. But the home was so great.......nuff said. AND!!!! The very next day Erik took another 5 point major!!!!!!! TWO majors in TWO days at 7 months of age. He now has 11 points!
First time in the Specials ring our Hannah takes 2 Best of Breeds and a Group 3 in Tulsaa OK. Walker took 3 more points and his sister Levee took her first 2 points. This makes 4 puppies from our Holli litter who are pointed at 7 months of age!!
In Springfield MO Holli daughter Promise's Mystic River V Olympia took point #5 from the 6-9 puppy class!
The weekend of December 10 & 11 our Holli puppies did well again! Levee took her 3rd point on saturday while her brother Erik took point # 14. Then on sunday, Erik took Best Of Breed over 3 specials to finish his Championship at only 8 months of age! We are so proud of our Magic X Holli litter!! One finished and 3 others on the way.
Another brag on one of our Holli puppies! Sunburg's Whiskey River who lives in Ontario went to a couple shows and came home with 8 points towards his Canadian Championship!! Way to go Jessie & Owner Carolyn Scrovitch!! Jessie will be coming to the U.S. to try for his American Championship when they time is right. Out of a litter of 5 puppies, at 8 months of age, one puppy is a Champion, 3 are pointed and 1 is pointed in Canada!!!! FLASH!! Jessie goes to his second set of shows and finishes his Can. Championship at 9 months of age!!

Our first outing for the year and Hannah (Ch Olympia Canberra V Promise) takes Best of Breed both days at the Nolan River K.C. shows January 7 & 8!!
The last weekend in January in Wentzville MO, Walker takes 2 more points giving him 8 points at just 10 months of age.
On March 2nd Walker took point #9. Now for the majors! Not bad for an 11 month old!
March 24th at the Doberman Pinscher Club of Dallas Specialty show, Ch Sunburg's Fly'n Diva Of Lamar took Best In Specialty while her brother Ch Sunburg's Flying Chevron went Best of Opposite. At the same show Couper daughter, Mia Hamm Dob Mann took her first major, Mia is owned by Judy Jackson.
On sunday March 26th Walker, Sunburg's Riverwalk V Promise took a 4 pt major giving him 13 points towards his Championship at just 12 months of age.
Memorial day weekend Chunk son (Logan) D'Rays Tulsa Time took his first point, his first weekend out at only 6 months of age in Shawnee OK. Sister (Rose) took a reserve. We are very excited about these two youngsters.
Logan took a 3 pt major in Topeka Kansas on August 17th!! He also took 2 reserves and 2 best puppy in specialty. Rose took a reserve also. Our boy Walker took TWO reserves! He still needs that one major to finish.
Logan took 2 more points at the Wichita Dobe Specialty in mid September.
At the Nationals Logan had a great week! He won the 9-12 Sweeps class at the Regional. He took 1st in 9-12 Futurity Black and went Best 9-12 puppy in show! He took 3rd in the regular classes!
A great time in South Dakota!! Logan took two majors finishing his championship at 11 months of age with a total of 3 majors. The next day he was moved up and took Best Of Breed!!
Walker also had good luck, finishing his Championship at 19 months of age in Sioux Falls! Walker is the 4th of this litter to finish his championship!
The next weekend in Tulsa Oklahoma our baby girl Sunburg's Scentasia V Promise (Tasia) took her first point at 8 months of age. At the same show, her brother Valor took 1 point, Best Puppy and Puppy Group 3 on friday and 2 points on saturday!! There are now 3 puppies from this litter who are pointed from the puppy class.
Tasia's brother "Valor" owned by Jerry & Kathy Drake started off the year with a bang taking a 4 pt major at the tough Forida shows in January! 8 points at 10 months of age!
A New Champion for our Ch Sunburg's Hotrod Holli!!!!! Olympia Bronze Star V Promise, an 11 month old Holli son sired by Ch Promise's Amish Red V Olympia finished with a 5 pt major in Indianapolis IN the first weekend of February 2007! Way to go Valor and owners Jerry & Kathy Drake!!
At the Dallas Doberman Specialty on March 23, 2007 our Walker took an Award of Merit. Also taking an AOM was Holli son Ch Olympia Bronze Star V Promise.
We have a NEW CHAMPION!!! Ch Sunburg's Flying Spur finished in Topeka Kansas by taking a 3 pt major!
